Current campaigns
In our social marketing campaigns we draw on the practises and learning of people with HIV. They reflect on issues and experiences such as living with HIV today, with its anxieties and challenges. These cover a range of experiences, from the stresses before getting tested for HIV, to dealing with a new diagnosis, and from changing approaches to sex and relationships to living long term. People with HIV share strategies on how they have approached these issues, developing skills and learning to make decisions which have worked for them.
Our current campaigns include:
![]() | Simple PleasuresSimple Pleasures builds on material presented in our booklet GETTING ON WITH IT AGAIN Living longer with HIV. The workshop is designed to be used with HIV positive peer support groups or in HIV support groups facilitated by healthcare workers. |
![]() | SYPHILIS - GET THE FACTSAnyone can get syphilis, but men who have sex with men account for 90% of the cases of infectious syphilis in New South Wales. About half of these guys are HIV positive. So if you are HIV positive, sexually active, and fucking with men, it makes good sense to have a regular blood test (i.e. every three months) for syphilis. |
GETTING ON WITH IT AGAIN - Living longer with HIVThe GETTING ON WITH IT AGAIN campaign acknowledges the challenges faced by people living longer with HIV and their resilience in meeting those challenges. | |
![]() | SEX SCENES - HIV positive and HIV negative guys share this spaceSEX SCENES challenges the discrimination and sexual rejection that disclosure brings to many HIV positive gay men who use sex-on-premises venues. WARNING - content is unsuitable for people under 18 years. |
